Please dial 9-1-1 to report a crime in progress, assist crime victims, report suspicious activities, or request police service. Give the police dispatcher as much detailed information as you can.
You may also find it helpful to review and save a number of other emergency and non-emergency numbers, such as the mental health crisis hotline, poison control hotline, suicide prevention, veterans crisis line, WOAR victim line, homeless outreach — as well as report PGW gas leaks, PECO downed wires, PWD leaking hydrants or water main breaks. Business operations such as noise, health safety, after hours, or gaming can be addressed by contacting the city’s office of air quality, the state PLCB, or PDPH, and/or via QVNA's nuisance business form. You may also access city services via 311, or review this list of city, state, federal hotlines.
Click here to download and print out the suspect ID sheet — a tool which facilitates collecting all the commonly needed information in order to provide the police an accurate, complete, and actionable description of any individual or vehicle. Be the eyes and ears — see something, say something!
Philadelphia residents may utilize a single portal to provide additional information on observed criminal or suspicious activities through PPD Forms.
Submit information regarding suspicious, nuisance and criminal activity to the Philadelphia Police Department. You may submit a tip anonymously. Similar to Roll Call Complaints, submitting a tip provides a means for neighbors to inform patrol officers of chronic neighborhood problems or conditions that are not of an emergency nature.
You may also contact the 3rd Police District direct at (215) 686-3030 or police.co_03@phila.gov, or contact BVNA for assistance with having your issue or question addressed. If you are experiencing an ongoing neighbor or business dispute – whether it is related to parking, leash laws, noise, trash set-out, or property condition – BVNA may be able to coordinate with the appropriate agency, or suggest an approach to amicably resolve the issue.
